With the season 2022/23 Sonja Isabel Reuter joined the ensemble of the Theater für Niedersachsen in Hildesheim. Here she is singing „Pamina” in Die Zauberflöte by W. A. Mozart and several other leading soprano roles this year. In Summer 2023 she appeared as „Blumenmädchen” in Parsifal for children at the Bayreuther Festspiele.
The young Soprano began her vocal education in her hometown of Frankfurt am Main at the Dr. Hoch’s Conservatory, continuing her studies at the Academy of Music Franz Liszt Weimar in Voice/Music-theatre and at the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler Berlin under Prof. Dr. M. Lanskoi. She aquired her Master Degree in Summer 2022.
Sonja Isabel Reuter performed in various opera productions, concerts and Lied recitals. In November 2021, she appeared as “Sie” in the world premiere of the chamber opera Haut by L. Troiani in the Tischlerei of Deutsche Oper Berlin. Her repertoire includes roles like „Mimì” from La Bohème by G. Puccini, „Micaëla“ from Carmen by G. Bizet, „Tatjana“ from Evgenij Onegin by P. I. Tchaikovsky and “Alice” in Alice im Wunderland by P. Valtinoni.
Sonja Isabel Reuter received numerous awards and scholarships for her singing. She was awarded the young musicians prize of the Richard-Wagner-Association Leipzig in 2018, and visited the Bayreuth Festival as winner of said prize. She was also selected for scholarships by the Giovanni Omodeo-Stiftung, the Oscar und Vera Ritter-Stiftung as well as the Bernt Rohrer Stiftung.
